Here on Dominate Viate, we expect a certain code of conduct from our players. Sonny and I aren't goin to sit here and tell you how to play your character. But we do expect you to hold a certain amount of respect for your fellow players in how you interact with them and treat them.

Let's be frank. We're all here for the smut and the drama. Smut and drama are what make this community go around, and I know that when things get boring, both of the knobs get turned up. Way up. But the problem with smut and drama is that it is all very personal. We are talking about romantic double crosses, cheating, and sex sex sex. Now, I don't know about you guys, but that is really intimate stuff, and the people who I choose to smut and drama with tend to become close friends. Or at least.. I treat them like a close friend.

Before I start any drama, I try and warn people. I come to you OOC and say "Hey, Sin/Sasha/Bale have this idea, and they want to do..." and discuss it with you. Many of the major scenes that you will find me posting for the community to enjoy have been entirely planned out before they were played. When Sin and Hugh broke up (many many moons ago) the whole thing was staged, and Sonny and I had discussed every point of it so that it happened smoothly.

I don't care what happens IC. Things happen out of your control, relationships die, and things don't work out. I understand that. But IC should never have any bearing on how you treat your fellow players OOC. Just because you are facing an unpleasent situation IC, you should care enough about your close friends to talk about the situation. Just because things don't work out with one character, it doesn't mean that your roleplay has to end. When Sin and Hugh broke up, Sin met Justin.. and soon afterwards George came around. There are plenty of opportunities to play in this community, and if one avenue is closed, another will open up.

Sonny and I are not going to play the ethical police. But as members of our community, we expect you to treat your fellow players with some basic respect. That's why we have the 16 and up policy. Because we feel that by the age of 16, you are old enough to understand that if you are going to play with adults, then you will be expected to act like an adult.

Much against my will, we have instated a Three Strikes policy. Everyone fucks up. Everyone forgets the rules, or get emotionally involved.. and mistakes are made. We understand that. But we really feel that by the second or third time that feelings are crushed, or disrespect is shown, or that the rules are broken.. You know what you are doing. Three Strikes and you will be kicked so fast out of this community your head will spin.

Sonny and I both have roleplayed for a very long time, and we both are rather protective of our little sand box. While we want to be fair.. this is still our baby. And if you prove to be disrespectful to us or anyone else who we have chosen to play here.. You can just go find somewhere else to play. I won't sit here and have someone hurt me or my close friend's feelings. As much as we all want to say it's just a game.. sometimes it hurts. It is important to Sonny and I both that this community is as fun and friendly as possible. To be fun and friendly we don't have to be fake or sugar coat anything. We just all need to be honest.

Sin City, also known as Las Vegas Nevada, has never been the place to find salvation. Between the casinos, shows and bordellos, one could easily loose their head – or worse – their soul. To make matters worse, there are agents not even human who vie everyday for a foot hold in this city that never shuts its doors. A silent war is waged right under the noses of Las Vegas' law abiding citizens, one who's outcome might very well decide the fate of all the city's inhabitants.

Only the most devout or mad seem to claim the sightings of angels, yet members of the Choir walk the streets every day and night. Sent by God, these angels descended from heaven are here for one purpose – to destroy the enemy. They wage an endless war against the forces of Lucifer, hidden among the mortals. Lucifer's army works tirelessly to facilitate the fall of countless innocent souls and tempt God's forces to the dark side. Caught between this timeless struggle are the men and women who call Las Vegas their home. As epic battles are waged above their heads, the people go through their daily life none the wiser... Most of the time.

There are rules of engagement, agreed upon millinea ago when this war started. The rules are simple: Affect only the celestial and allow the mortal to live their lives. One can try to influence a mortal's decision, but direct interference with their life is not allowed. Hurting, scaring, maiming or otherwise destroying mortals is not allowed. Celestials may take mates, but those mortals must understand that all the rules no longer apply.

In the maelstrom of this war, mortality's salivation stands above all in the form of Babylon. To the mortals, this building is nothing more than another high-end casino theme park destination. The celestials know differently, for this building housed the lair of the balance keepers. The Fallen.

All wars must have their police, and those who were deemed too evil for heaven and too good for hell have been thrust into a unique position. They are the only thing left protecting mortality from the celestials and their never ending war.. the only party who cares if there is mortal abuse. Any celestial who breaks the rules of engagement finds themselves answering to swift, silent, black winged justice...

Welcome to Dominate Viate, an AU (alternate reality) RPG based in the city of Las Vegas. Dominate Viate is based mainly around the patrons and participants of a fictional casino by the name of Babylon in the not so distant future. We welcome characters of both sexes to apply, though we are primarily a slash community. We like to think of our community as quite interesting though. You never know quite what to expect.

This is a dark supernatural RPG community that has a very big and delicious slice of violence thrown in there. Things are dangerous in our version of Las Vegas. Your actions within the global plots (and there are plenty going around!) will affect your standing in the game. Our players are encouraged to create and pursue plots that foster interaction between themselves and other players. Anyone and everyone in the community are welcome to partake in the sweeping global plots that we offer as well. There are things that go on outside of your IC apartment. Its up to you if you stay in or go out for the night.
